The Dark Knight sequel: Casting Possibilities part 2?
I gave a pretty extensive list of people who would be good choices to play Batman in the next installment, should Christian Bale decide to leave the series. However, Batman isn’t the only person in the movie, because if it wasn’t for the villains, there would be no Batman. Here’s a list of multiple villains in the Batman series, and who would be great choices to play them.
The Riddler- Johnny Depp (like i would consider anybody else?…well maybe Michael C. Hall)
Catwoman- Angelina Jolie would probably be the first choice, but Jessica Biel would do nicely as well. Other candidates include Eva Mendes, Eliza Dushku, and Kate Beckinsale.
The Penguin- Very few people could pull this character off, as he could be a dark character like in Batman Returns, or a he could be a rich mob-boss type like in the cartoon. Either way the best person suited to play him is Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
Killer Croc- He’s big, bad, and nasty. He’s a great choice to be in the next movie, if they find the right actor. Some people have said Kane Hodder, but Killer Croc can talk, so the possibilities have increased. Michael Clarke Duncan would make a great one, but somebody like The Rock could also be considered.
The Mad Hatter- This character seems highly unlikely to enter the franchise at all, unless he is portrayed similar to the scarecrow. someone like Tobey Maguire would make a good turn in the role, but he’s unlikely to accept any more superhero projects. Another possibility would be Topher Grace or Robert Pattinson.
Clayface- very similar to Killer Croc, but a lot more animated, it would take someone with an action background, but not necessarily someone big. Somebody like Terry Crews would make a nice choice, but this role could bring in any number of people.
Firefly- One of the most underrated characters in the series, Firefly may be a huge addition to the big screen. His suit and violent temperament could allow him to be played by any number of people. A long list includes Will Smith (maybe), Jason Statham, Sam Worthington, Stone Cold Steve Austin (hey it could work) or current WWE superstar Randy Orton. There are probably many more, but that’s all i can think of at the moment.
Poison Ivy- Uma Thurman did a decent job, but Ivy needs to be a bit more sexual and a little more unstable. An up and comer may be perfect for the role, but they would need to have a smokin body. candidates could include Arielle Kebbel, Megan Fox, or Olivia Wilde.
Harley Quinn- Its unlikely, but this character could be brought into the next movie as the Joker’s lover tyring to free him. I would’ve said Brittany Murphy would be a perfect choice, but she tragically passed away awhile back. If i were to consider someone for this role, i would say Drew Barrymore, Kristen Bell, Christina Ricci, or Sarah Wright.
I do have one more thing to add: If the next movie does bring back The Joker, i think without a shadow of a doubt it should be played by Johnny Depp. And since Depp can’t play both Joker and Riddler, i would say Michael C. Hall or Timothy Olyphant to play the man in green question marks.

I almost forgot to add Mr. Freeze. I think Timothy Olyphant would be perfect in the role if the wanted to do like the comic books. However, if they decide to make him a big hulking guy like they did in Batman and Robin, then i think either Vinnie Jones or The Rock should do it.

I dont see hoffman as penguin.. Hoffman is tall

Personally i think BANE (dont know who could play him) in a "Knightfall" based movie would be best. Thats where Bane beats batman causing him to hand over the suit temporarily to a aprentice, who takes the job too seriously before Bruce must take it back.
Also "Arkaim Asylum" the game wouldnt be a bad story line either: Batman has captured the joker (could make it a direct sequel) and is returning him to the asylum. However he doesnt realize that the Joker has made his return to jail very convenient. When a riot puts most of the island in the hands of the prisoners, Batman must return them all to their cells. However the science that created Bane is now being used to create a army of super soldiers-prisoners who will soon be released onto Gotham
