Why is this guy not leaving me alone?
Well, I am 23 yrs old gal. A year back, when I came to US for my masters, I met with a guy (lets call him John) who was my senior appeared to be very friendly and helpful. We became friends and he helped me settle down in the new place. We used to hang out in groups and alone as well. There was nothing beyond friendship between us. We used to discuss our studies, problems, life etc, but nothing beyond that. Then, I used to observe that he tries to hold my hand a lot, and look for excuses to touch me everytime. He always tried to sit very close to me and sometimes even keep in hands on my shoulders. I took it in a friendly manner and never entertained anything which was beyond my comfort level. He used to call me his gf sometimes in a funny way and I used to ask him to shut up. In a party in which both of us were present, I was introduced to some new ppl and they started chatting with me. Something happened and I saw some of john’s friends were pulling his leg. I found the joke funny and started laughing as well. i dont know what happened, John felt very bad and next day we had heated argument. We stopped talking after then and didnt keep in touch as well. I had completely forgotten abt him. I just came to know recently, that he got completely drunk in a party (which he never used to) and was taking my name continuously and said to his friends that he misses me and wants me to be back in his life. i have completely cut off from him and I dont want him to say my name in front of strangers. They think as if i used him and threw him away as soon as I got all the help I needed from him. Some of my other friends said, that they always felt that he liked me. I dont care if he likes me or not, but I just want him to stop making ppl sympathize with him and thinking me of some mean gal who used him.

Why is he that bad that u no longer want a friendship?
if you no longer want to be friends, or anything, then go up to him and talk to him. tell him why u no longer want be friends and why you don’t want to hang out anymore. then explain to himthat what he is saying is making you look bad and how it’s hurting your feelings (remember tho, his feelings are hurt 2 because you no longer want to be his friend). be gentle, but getyour point across.

if you don’t talk to him then he will never know that he is doing something wrong.
and by the way, why does it matter that he is talking to strangers….u don’t know them and they don’t know u….
