Getting rid of Crushed Coral for sand?
mmk soo i just got 40 lbs of live rock added to my aquarium (using it to cycle tank). Now i read everywhere that having crushed coral as your substrate in the long run is a very bad thing(which i have). I do have a power head attached to a tube which goes to a try which supposedly pulls detritus from the coral but apparently that still wont cause me from having a disaster. I have live rock filling up half my aquarium im wondering if i can just take out the CC that is on the otherside and do a 50/50 CC and sand or if i should just quit being lazy and take all the rock out and just completely remove it and replace. I am assuming at the point i would need to take the powerhead out of the tube since it will just pull up the sand….I know this is long and redundant and i pretty much answer my own question which is i should just replace it all but im looking for maybe a few suggestions to make it easier at least
