How is the Old Testament related to The Chronicles of Narnia:The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe?
Yes, as the first answerer said, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe has most of its roots in the New Testament, where the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus are documented. The Magician’s Nephew draws from the creation story in the Old Testament.
However, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe could draw slightly on Old Testament prophesies of Jesus’ coming; every mention of Jesus in the Old Testament was prophecy, written several hundred years before he came. The prophecy concerning the Pevensie children could be a vague reference to that. The references to "the deep magic" are similar to passages about the Word of God (the Bible) in the Old Testament as well.
Hope this helped. Maybe you could take a look at my question (actually it’s more of an open discussion)? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index; _ylt=AqC2m.GgsVb0OkJN9PpSLQrsy6IX;_ylv=3 ?qid=20100111174202AAS9XDD

It’s not. The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe is more related to Jesus sacrificing him on the crucifix. In the book, Aslan (Jesus) offers himself up to die in place of Edmund (humanity)’s sins. This happened in the new Testament.
THe Magician’s Nephew, the first book in the series, is more related to the Old Testament, I think.
